This blog was inspired by Deb. Kunkel’s examples of two ways in which the UCC “100k for Peace” letter could have been, and should have been, more pastoral. (Deb has granted me permission to use her work for the very reasonable fee of a Hershey bar and a Diet Coke.)

The blog’s purpose is explained in the first post, so I won’t repeat it here. If it ends up a very long way removed from the most current post at some time in the future, I may post it here, as well.

Unlike the initiator of another UCC splinter blog, I have no need to hide in a cloud of anonymity. My name is David Cope; I’m a marketing consultant in Connecticut’s Quiet Corner, which is why the CT Conference of the UCC is linked here. I’ve been a member of Westfield Congregational Church UCC in Danielson for about four years, which is why their site is linked. This site does not express the views of the CT Conference, nor of Westfield Church, nor have they endorsed the views – mine or anyone else’s – expressed here.

Please be advised that flames, trolling, non-constructive badgering and attempts to politicize this discussion will be removed without discussion, notation or apology. It’s an open forum for those who participate in the spirit in which it begins, not the soap box at Speaker’s Corner.

If you have questions concerning the above, please post a comment explaining why below. Otherwise, let’s get on with the Peace-making!
